SXSW 2005

This year at SXSW, I took hundreds of photos. Literally, probably 150 a day, and I was there for four days. So, I have many photos to process (digitally) and then text to write, lists to make, laundry that has to be done, cds to listen to - you know, it's damn hard being DJ Wanda!
In any case, please be patient and check back often. The plan is to put most of the stuff up over at Barflies.net and then to put a few more extended photo essays up over here for those die-hard fans of alt. country music.
In the photo above, Doyle Lawson and participates in a panel called "What Can We Learn from Bluegrass?" What indeed? You'll get my comments on the issue soon!

I'll share bowling shoes with you any day, Wanda!
But here's why I'm cyber stalking: I just completed a 16 song collection of twangy, gritty alt-whatever tunes, largely anti-war (an inside look with inside jokes) and poking fun at America (okay, that ain't hard to do these days). There are MP3 downloads at www.petecwagner.com. I am also mailing out promo disks, so let me know if you want me to fire one off to you.
If not for you (and it ain't for most), please forward this along to somebody who may be more inclined to dig it.
Best to you and keep up the fine tradition,
Pete
