After bursting on the southern California roots revival scene in the late ’80s, Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys have left the rest of the rockabilly/Texas swing wannabes lying flat in the dust with a series of standout records that have explored rockabilly, classic old-time country, hillbilly boogie and more. You may have seen them on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, at the Grand Ole Opry, or on one of their countless treks touring America.
