Happy Halloween from Nevada

Hi Julie and everyone, First, let me say that I am really proud of you Julie for continuing the blog in the face of the inertia on the part of the rest of us. Your halloween looked fabulous, I am so glad that you had fun and obviously enjoyed every minute of the holiday??? In Nevada, they do something I think is really smart, last Friday was Nevada Day, the day the state became a state, so it was a holiday. The school district arranged a four day weekend by having Friday off for Nev day and then Mon the 31st for staff development. The deal is the school does not have to put up with all the halloween stuff including people who think it is satanic, etc. Apparently, some of the history comes from England where it was called Beggars Day and the poor people would go to rich peoples houses to beg. The English dont understand why we do ithere in US because we are such a rich country.

Anthem Highlands opened their model park so carloads of people could come up here to t and t. I think it worked out except for the broken pumpkins on the streets that I guess people threw out of their cars on the way home.

Okay, I am going to try to post this. I can hardly wait for next week. I am about to pop. I want to see Hank.
Love and Kisses, Mama Ann

Happy Haloweee

Happy Halloweee and a delightful Day of the Dead to you!
After years of apartment living, I finally live in a place where I can decorate to my heart's content and give out candy to the Trick or Treaters. The house looked especially "welcoming" this year!

Every year, David's sister, Inga, has a Pumpkin Carving Party, but this was the first year that I went. My pumpkin is absolutely "wicked!" and I won 2nd place in the pumpkin carving contest at work. Sweet!

This year, Tink and I made Shrunken Heads. Didn't they turn out great?
